Bill Moody is a sign language interpreter…and he is American and hearing! Bill learned French Sign Language and International Sign and is one of the most influential figures in the history of the French deaf community.

He strongly supported their emancipation, during the “deaf awakening” in the 70s. From his encounters with Alfredo Corrado, a deaf American artist, in 1976 and with Jean Grémion, a French hearing director, was born the International Visual Theater (IVT).
In fact, it was on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of IVT that Laurent Valo decided to highlight the fundamental contribution of Bill Moody.

AVAILABLE FOR SCREENING: original French (commentary, sub-titles, signing)
