DEAF-BLIND, SO WHAT?
Director(s): Laurent VALO – Writer(s): Laurent VALO Contact Print page
These are not the words of a hearing person speaking to someone who is deaf. It is one deaf person talking to another who is suffering from Usher Syndrome, an extremely rare genetic disorder resulting in a combination of hearing loss and visual impairment. It is a leading cause of deaf-blindness and is at present incurable.
Tired of having to hide their syndrome or of having to justify the value of their existence, Arnaud, Soline and Stéphane wish to speak out in this film to stress the importance of accepting yourself as you are. They want to talk about their ability to resist and adapt to their circumstances, as well as the happiness they found in the accomplishment of their ambitious projects.
