In 2000, the first statistics on violence against women in France indicates that most of the cases concerns couples... women suffer at the hands of their husband or partner. Whatever the social environment from which they originate, whether they are deaf or hearing, these women experience the same ordeal.

Shame when facing friends or family, fear of reprisals, lack of financial autonomy... these are the main reasons for their inability to tell others and to act on it. This film highlights the mechanisms of domestic violence, the means to detect it and to discuss it openly so that women receive help on a psychological and legal level.
