World attention has been focussing on the Gaza strip whenever it made headlines – after the successful pull-out of Israeli troops, for example. The colony of Netzarim had been one of the last to be evacuated… this is were our story began, at the 2nd Intifada…
Gaza, a place that represents in itself the senseless tragedy of the Israeli-Palestinian problem.
Just like this story, a tale of the human absurdity of the conflict. A story of three young men – a Palestinian and two Israeli soldiers – who die within a few days near the Nezarim Junction, on the eve of the second Intifada. “We have politicians on both sides who could make peace, but don’t want to”, says the father of the two soldiers, “No country is worth the sacrifice of two sons…”
