French regulations consider profound deafness to be a medical condition that is incompatible with obtaining a permit for heavy goods vehicles and passenger transport vehicles. But the deaf have been militant for many years to have this law modified that excludes them.

Among them is Youssef, the second deaf school bus driver in France. But even if he ended up obtaining his category D license, he is required to pass a medical examination each year in order to renew it. Wallès Jr Kotra sets out to find out more about his daily life and to meet others who push the boundaries for equal opportunities.
