Libraries are places of knowledge and culture. This universe was until recently, totally foreign to the majority of deaf people, who have a difficult relationship with reading.

It’s only been in the last ten years that deaf librarians have been employed by the city of Paris. They welcome, guide, inform and take this “holy object” named book off the pedestal for the deaf public. However, they also make sign language more visible to everyone and thus create a bridge between two worlds.

AVAILABLE FOR SCREENING: original French (commentary, sub-titles, signing)
