On October 3, 2019, Mickael Harpon, who is deaf and working at the Prefecture of Police in the centre of Paris, committed a massacre of extreme violence. An act which was quickly seen as a terrorist attack.

Deaf people, shocked to learn that one of their own, well integrated into their community, had committed such a gesture, perceived this drama from a completely different understanding. For them, it was necessary to look into deeper causes, in particular the suffering experienced by many deaf people in their professional lives. Walles Jr Kotra is investigating to put together the elements of Mickael Harpon's life trajectory like pieces of a puzzle.
This highlights its complexity and reveals an unexpected reality. Magistrates, sociologists, psychiatrists or trade unionists bring their expertise and question the current nature of terrorism.
