14. JEAN GREMION, GUARDIAN ANGEL
Director(s): Claire CHOGNOT – Writer(s): Claire CHOGNOT Contact Print page
For the deaf, he was one of those who opened a door for them to the hearing world at the end of the 1970s. In those days, the deaf were in the shadows, not aware of the value of their culture and their language. Without Jean Grémion, the International Visual Theatre, the first deaf theatre in France, would probably not exist!
This film offers a portrait of an era and of a man who, thanks to his great intellectual freedom, had a vision of the deaf community that was in advance on his time.
