It happened 50 years ago ... May 1968.
The National Institute of Young Deaf in Paris, based in the Latin Quarter, found itself at the centre of the events.
But most of the deaf, just like hearing people, were just witnesses of these demonstrations and did not realise that these waves of protests would bring about profound changes in our society, concerning work, young people or the place of the women...

But what about the place of the deaf in our society? This anniversary period offers an opportunity to recall what was forbidden in those days, but no longer today. Time to make an inventory of social habits and mentalities that have undergone radical change!
