!! Background info to Green School in Bali:
Set up in 2008 by John Hardy, a successful Canadian business man, visionary genius and a committed ecologist. The school exists without any outside institutional funding. Most families are Western, only around 10% of the students are Balinese, often from the surrounding villages, who receive scholarships to attend. Western families come initially for a year, often with the idea of going back, renewed and refreshed with a newly found desire to learn, and a new philosophy about life to take back to the west.

"Everyone is looking for a different kind of school, more humane, with more freedom. Carine, her husband and their two daughters found it at the other end of the world, in Bali.
They came back with a film, Green School Stories, and the conviction that learning must also include the notion of fun..." - Doolittle Magazine (March 2018)
