They are a bunch of brats, of ’bad kids’ aged between 6 and 15. They ended up at the ITEP of Les Aubrys – an educational institution for children with behaviour issues near the city of Le Mans – because their school could no longer cope with their aggressive behaviour.

They’d knocked over a library shelf that fell on their teacher, they hit fellow kids or they insulted the headmaster… Most of the time, they did all of that and more. So they end up in this place, the bad kids… For a whole year, we follow their lives and that of the adults around them. The film captures the vitality and sense of humour of these children who’d stepped out of line… and uncovers destinies that got off on a wrong start
