Ramesh Meyyappan, born in southern India into a very religious Hindu family, is an extraordinary artist whose purely visual work transcends all language and nationality barriers.

Enjoying recognition beyond the deaf community, he offers a very visual theatre combining dance, puppets and manipulation of objects.
This portrait was filmed on tour with his latest show, “Butterfly”, notably in Paris, at the IVT (International Visual Theatre).
