The Cold War ended thirty years ago - a time when the world was split in two with a border going right through the heart of Germany. Berlin even had a wall running right through the centre of the city with the Eastern part to one side, the West on the other.

A bygone era when American and Russian deployed their troops all over Europe and France had thirty military bases in Germany. Let’s take to the skies to better understand this painful past.
We will be observing 50 years of history that left their mark on the landscape - a period that began in 1945, after the Second World War. Seen from above, the traces of the Cold War are still clearly visible in the geography of the two countries... just as in the heart of men and women who experienced those times.
