Just like a ship lost on a stormy sea, the family of an alcoholic is drowned by emotional stress that threatens to pull them under and destroy their lives. They are battered and bruised, become invisible but not really sick. The relatives if alcohol addicts suffer in silence and, by doing so, maintain the cycle of addiction; they become co-dependent.

Anne, Sylvie, Aurore and Dominique, though, found the strength to speak up thanks to the support of discussion groups. For the past few years, the group has been accompanying them in their efforts to survive the tragedy of their loved ones, so that they were able to understand and to help... not least of all, themselves.
