A DAY IN EUROPE
Director(s): Vassili SILOVIC, Roland THERON, Elise DARBLAY – Writer(s): Vassili SILOVIC, Roland THERON, Elise DARBLAY Contact
A collection that gives us a fresh view of the countries of Europe: through impressive aerial views that alternate with daily life sequences, we discover the country’s reality, how it functions from sunrise to sunset, set to the rhythm that is specific to each country and its inhabitants depending on its geographical and economical situation.
To really get a feel for a country, understand the forces that shape its society and mould its landscapes, it is best to take a loftier view. An ambitious collection of films revealing France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and Spain (more to come) as they are only rarely seen…from the skies.
Each film is set within a single recomposed day, structured around the rhythm as well as the geographical and economic foundation that varies in each territory. In the specific case of France and Germany, the films are mirror versions of each other...viewed from either side of the Rhine.
Spectacular images that required over 20 days of shooting in the skies per film and tens of thousands of flight km!
!! Each of these 90' films (clickable links hereunder) are accompanied by a history series on each country:
* series of 10 x 26' France-Germany, A Shared History
