This unusual film by Patrick Jeudy pays hommage to Doisneau, showing a vast collection of his work.

Some 700 clichés are presented in filmic sequences to paint a vivid picture of Paris and France in the 1950’s. The feel of the period is recreated through music and sound effects and voice recordings of Doisneau add authenticity.

His remarks are full of humour, humanity and sharpness – just like his photography. As soon as one enters Doisneau’s world, black & white turns into colour and thousands of stories come to life.
