Condemned to live under threat and oppression “in an open-air prison”, the people of Gaza look into the future, to the rhythm of the DARG TEAM rappers who shout “WE DON’T NEED AID, WE NEED FREEDOM!” Their song seems to have an echo across many countries today…

Director Nicolas Wadimoff arrived in Gaza one month after the end of the Israeli military attack, "Operation Cast Lead", in Feb. 2009. Among the rubble and ruins, he met people who “tried to put their life back together with little pieces…”.
AISHEEN does not indulge in self-pity, nor is there any political or humanitarian analysis. Instead, it offers poignant scenes of every day life that speak louder than any commentary. A vibrant tribute to life against all odds!
