CHILDHOOD HAS ITS OWN HISTORY
Director(s): Camille JUZA – Writer(s): Camille JUZA Contact
Our approach to raising and educating children has undergone profound changes due to medical, social and technical progress… This evolution somewhat obscured our memory of how children were considered only one or two centuries ago. The history of children and childhood is a fairly little known subject and we often have wrong ideas about children’s place in society in the past.
While linking the past to present-day concerns, each episode tells the story of a particular moment in history when a particular aspect related to childhood underwent profound changes: birth, education, school, work, justice, family ties… Until history leads us back to our modern concept of childhood and children’s place in society.
A lively, innovative and very entertaining story of a particular aspect of history!
