Re-mastered HD version 2013.
2019: Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, born on 28th July 1929, would have celebrated her 90th birthday this year...

Jackie. Hasn’t everything been said about her? We know her life, her biography, the public image, some glimpses of her private persona. And yet, her true personality has always remained something of an enigma… In this film, Patrick Jeudy went beyond the classic portrait, beyond the documentary based on the Zapruder archives, to take Jackie’s point of view, discover “what Jackie knew”…
If anything, Jackie was a “modern” woman. A woman who expressed her opinion and imposed her views. Just as Jack was a “modern” man who made unrestricted use of the attraction his power afforded him. In that sense, both formed a couple ahead of their times. Through Jackie’s eyes – eyes who saw, loved and hated - the film offers a vision of “the modern couple” and the different attitude of men and women when it comes to sexuality and power. Jackie was never just ‘the woman at his side’.
She imposed her own style; she changed not only the image of the ‘First Lady’, but the image the world had of the ‘American Woman’. With Jackie, the busty Hollywood Blonde went out of fashion.
If truth be told, she can be rivalled only by Eleonar Roosevelt or Hilary Clinton...
