Built in an English shipyard in 1926, this elegant three-masted, ebony-hulled vessel started life as the "Vira" and changed hands several times. Requisitioned by the Navy during WW.III, it was acquired and restored by Stavros Niarchos, to end up in the hands of Maurizio Gucci who had it overhauled at great expense. Gucci was assassinated in 1995, the "Creole" is on the market, but has not found a new owner. It is said that it's a ship that brings bad luck...
